We grow cacao on our farm, process and manufacture everything in Hawai'i, working with some of the best in the industry. Our chocolate has an extremely smooth texture and mellow flavor, with a Nib crunch for a delicate balance and delicious contrast. It wakes up your senses. 72% Dark Chocolate with a touch of Jalapeño is made from 100% Hawaiian beans grown on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. It is a delicious mouth melt that soothes your soul, then boom! a spicy tingle to wake up your senses. We find it strangely addictive. If you usually don't like dark chocolate, this bar is much more mellow and smooth than you might have encountered before. And if you are a jalapeño addict, you will love it. As Aloha Feels, we grow our cacao and jalapeños as well as ferment the beans with utmost care and knowledge (based on years of university research by our supervisor). Then, our expert friends on Oahu help us process the beans at their chocolate factory (we cannot afford the machines required). The choice of Jalapeño as a flavor is a combination of wanting to create something that we could not find on the market (and we love jalapeño), and we also want to honor the contribution the Mexican farmers have brought to the culinary world.
